12th May 2010. The day, everything will stop finally and officially for XL GMP. For some of us, it is the day on which freedom will be achieved and for others it is the day, freedom will be lost again! Every thing will stop for 96 odd guys and gals. No more 9 to 9 back to back classes, no more class participation, no more before class participation, no more after class participation, no more assignments, no more last minuit preparation for presentation, no more 11:59:59 project submission, no more fight over task allocation, no more attandance, no more proxy for attandance, no more HBS case studies, no more GE or Xerox example, no more latenight parotha, no more teas at dadoo's, no more spat over mess food, no more controversies, no more midnight birthday celebration,no more sleep during gas sessions, no more "get my point",no more mimicry,no more gassssss, no more "I mean that way", no more DC++, no more garam masala press ....The list is endless. The 96 years investment of life will end on that day. The brave guys and gals who took the decision to leave their jobs to do MBA from XL in one of most tumultous times of history will bid adieu to XL on that day. It is the day we have waited for so long. But when that day is too near how are we feeling ? We are managers taught as the smartest of the breed. We are the professionals. But some where inside at one corner of our heart, we are feeling bad and really bad.

This is something different !! Parental Guidance Advised.

Do you want to help me out of this hell or do you want to have fun with me for this night ? Who am I ? I am one of the innumerable so called "bad" girls who are forced into the world of darkness at our tender ages.

Don't I have the right to play? Don't I have a dad or mom like you have ? Don't I like to have some chocolates ? Don't I have the freedom of speech and expression in the world's largest democratic country?

What is my crime ? I am a "girl" ; Is it the my only crime ? or more specifically I am a "virgin girl " that is my crime ?

Don't you have mother or sister or daugther at your home ? Don't you have feelings for them ? Don't you think I am from a similar family ? Don't you feel angry when somebody misbehave with your near and dear ones ?

What is my crime ? I am a "virgin girl from rural family"; Is it my crime? or more specifically I am a "virgin girl from rural poor family" that is my crime ?

No I have not committed any crime. It is you and your lust and your one day(or night ? to me it is all same) fun that is making my life hell.

If you have STD then it is not going to cure at the expense of my virginity. It is me who will be traumatized and perished at the end. Think it before you do anything to me.

Please stop trafficking girls to the redlight districts. Support NGOs who are fighting against this crime and prevent this heinous act. It is not "FUN".

World Of Finance

World of finance like a disco where the dancers aka investors are dancing to the tune of music aka stimulus or news played by the dance jockey aka regulators,operators,external world. The dancers don't have any idea about the next music played by the DJ. They are indeed facing the music !! But aal izzz not at all welll. This is not an ordinary disco theque. This is a complex space and here is no room for failures. The the poor dancers hit the floor very hard(in other way). Sometimes, it is so hard that they can not even in a position to dance to the tunes in future. So, beware of this world which is half real and half virtual. Here you can dance on the floor in whatever way you want but when you fail there will be no body to take care of yourself. So be your own guard. Develop the capability. Play the music. Let others dance !!

1+1 = ?

Each one of us has our own way of interpreting symbols or equations. To some of us 1+ 1 is really 2. But some of us will interprete this 1+1 as 0 or 1. Yet there are some people among us who are interpreting 1+1 as -1 ( I am not going to explain it). It's all binary made of 1 or 0. Either you are in or you are out. But optimistic people like me will hope for the best and will look forward to equate the seeming not equal but otherway equal two expressions i.e. '1+1' and '2'.

Cheer up guys !! We can make it. What do you say?

A phone call

James bond brought out his latest communicator model no 1000i and tried to make an "important" phone call to one of his girlfriends. Alas ! The call did go through but the phone was picked up by some one else. He did not hear anything from the otherend and thus he started the conversation.

"Hi, I am bond, James bond."

"What a coincidence ! I am bond too." The voice came from the other side.

Bond took a step back. It was not expected at all.

"Wow ! That's great to know. But probably you are aware that I am the most popular one on this earth"

"Who said so ? "

Bond got angry. So he tried to satisfy his ego.

"Everybody on this earth know me.I work for the government of England but I am truly global by nature of my profession as I need to carry out mission from Holland to Honolulu."

"May be thats true.But, don't even compare yourself with me. Your government has no other option than me. I save goverments and I make people richer. Thus everybody on this earth loves me"

James Bond tried his best for the last time to establish his superiority.

"Do you know I am the most dangerous living being on this earth ?"

"Yes I do. But may be your are unaware that I am the most secured one on this earth."

At this stage,James bond got curious about the stranger. So, he could not resist himself from asking the stranger about his(/her/its) identity.

The stranger said in typical bond style" I am bond, Gov bond. I do retire like you but I never get injured or killed. I have a maturity date but who cares. "

Marriage or Adoption ?

Who do we mean by M &A ? Is it Merger and Acquisition or Marriage & Adoption ? I am little confused. Hope somebody will clear my doubt.

Apart from raising this kind of ridiculous question or writing humerous blogs , I also study Merger & Acquisition other than several finance electives.

Finance Guru vs Astrologer

This is something I am writing on the pretext of next few session of Finance:

Once a Finance Guru met a well known Astrologer to know his future. After they met and discussed, it appeared to them, that both of them could enjoy benefit of each other's profession in the same way. As the Finance Guru was in search of his fate in future as finance guru, the astrologer was also in search of his future finance estimate, roughly speaking "future cashflows of his business".After revelation of this fact, the astrologer was in great dilemma, as he was thinking about the threat posed by the finance guru to his bread and butter. Because, broadly speaking, both of them were in "prediction of future" business. One was doing with frameworks and the other one was doing without any framework. One was predicting future cash flows other one was predicting the fate of others to earn that cash flow. So friends, here is my first question of my whole blog life. Which one is better profession and why ?
